Things to Do in Snowdonia and North Wales from this Campsite nr Betws‑y‑Coed

The camping site is centrally located for touring North Wales, and is within easy reach of many attractions for both adults and children. Walkers are particularly well catered for with the nearby peaks of Snowdonia, and there are numerous walks from the campsite itself, including the Machno Falls and the neolithic burial chamber at Capel Garmon. Fishing is available locally.

Bike storage facilities are available for mountain bikers, and there are mountain bike trails locally at the Penmachno and Gwydir Trails. Both can be reached by pedal power without the need to take the car.

There are many things to do and shops to visit in Betws-y-Coed. There are many outdoor equipment shops in the village, often with sale areas, so you might be able to grab a bargain. There are numerous places to eat in the village, and the Conwy Falls Cafe is just at the bottom of the lane to the campsite.

There are many steam railways to visit including the Snowdon Mountain Railway, the Welsh Highland Railway, and Ffestiniog Railway, and historic castles at Conwy, Caernarfon and Dolwyddelan. The world renowned Bodnant Garden (National Trust) is just down the valley on the road to Llandudno.

If you fancy a day at the seaside the Victorian resort of Llandudno to the north, and the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay in Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula to the west are well worth a trip.
